EWF International continued their expansion with the launch of a new peer advisory group in Norman, Oklahoma.

“I’m delighted that we now have an EWF group that meets in Norman,” said Darcie Harris, CEO and founder of EWF International.  “We have been working with women business owners for twelve years, and have served several members from Norman, but putting the meeting in their community does a better job of meeting their needs.”

EWF International provides peer advisory groups for women business owners and executives.  Each group is led by a professional consultant and facilitator and confidentiality is a cornerstone of membership.  The group meets monthly and the members openly discuss their business opportunities and challenges.

“EWF is the place where women business owners get to talk about their businesses challenges, not be ‘talked to’,” says Wilma Randall, facilitator of the Norman group.  “When they discuss an issue with their group, they get input, feedback and ideas from other female entrepreneurs who know what it’s like to walk in their shoes.  They get the benefit of their fellow members’ experience, wisdom and connections.”

The peer advisory group format allows members to focus on real-world, real-time issues. Each member sets annual goals and members learn which metrics to measure and watch, apart from simply income and expense.  They update the group quarterly on their progress.

The charter members of the Norman group include Dr. Laura Boyd - President & CEO, Policy & Performance Consultants, Inc., Michelle Linnemann - Owner, Diamond Payroll Services, LLC / Park Lane Travel, Jennifer Morgan – Owner, Othello’s, Devrie Peoples -Owner, The Peoples Real Estate Team, Giovanni Perry - Attorney, Law Offices of Giovanni I. Perry, PLLC, Eryn Tribble - President, Data Control Specialists, and Mary Tucker - Owner/Coach, Cultivate Your Life.

“Our members demonstrate courage and a willingness to grow,” says Randall.  “It takes a special woman to admit you don’t know it all and be open to the input of others.”

EWF International has a total of five groups, serving 51 members, who collectively employ a total of 986 people and generate revenues of nearly $150,000,000 to the metro area economy.
