EWF INTERNATIONAL ANNOUNCES NEWEST MEMBERS

OKLAHOMA CITY – EWF International, an Oklahoma City-based business providing peer advisory groups for women business owners and executives, is proud to announce the addition of the following female business owners to its Forum membership:

Louise Thurman, M.D., is owner and CEO of IPS Research Company, a company she started in 1996. IPS conducts clinical trials in partnership with pharmaceutical companies to develop new products for many different illnesses, including respiratory, psychiatric, nervous system, and cardiovascular problems. Their vision is, “to be the world leader in clinical research to end suffering caused by illness.” Along with helping many people find new treatments for their conditions, Dr. Thurman loves growing her business because of the opportunities that gives her employees for personal and financial growth.

Mary Steichen is a nationally accredited Long Term Care specialist and owner of Insurance Care Associates.  A top producer and multiple award winner, Mary brings a high degree of professionalism to the clients she serves.  Her background as a Registered Nurse gives her a unique edge for working with both individuals and businesses as they plan for longevity.

Donna Bell joined Edmond Family Counseling as their marketing director in May, 2004 after owning a full service event marketing business for seven years.  Prior to owning her business Donna, was responsible for setting up & managing non-traditional revenue departments for multiple mid-sized markets for a media company. She also bought media for local, regional & national accounts for an advertising agency for several years. Donna currently is President of Edmond Women’s Club and has been an active member since 1999.

Jo Meacham is the owner and designer at Urban Kitchens, a residential remodeling company specializing in kitchens and bathrooms.  Jo’s master’s degree in historic preservation provides the company’s philosophy of designing kitchens and interior spaces to reflect the architecture of the home.  Jo and her husband Michael Cobb have been designing and building kitchens in the Oklahoma City area for 11 years.

Valerie Riley created The Riley Group in 2007 to help meet the demands of a busy society with a personal assistant, errands and organizing business.  She began the business in Dallas, then relocated it to Oklahoma City. She and her staff work efficiently and effortlessly, doing whatever clients need to relieve their burdens and give them the gift of time.

Christa Carretero owns Cooking Girl, a professional chef service that provides a multitude of culinary services such as professional catering for small parties, cooking classes and healthy menus for clients who want fresh, exciting and innovative fare.  Christa enjoys creating incredible dishes for individuals with an appetite for fine dining and cutting edge cuisine. Christa has professional training from world renowned chefs in top restaurants from San Francisco to Washington, D.C.
